“3H’s inclusion in Carnegie Mellon’s SEI Technical Report is exciting news,” noted 3H Chief Technology Officer Anwar Haidar, “it demonstrates our seriousness about process and quality to the entire industry.” Through the leadership of Dr. Ruth Buys, 3H Vice President for Process Improvement and the efforts of 3H’s software development projects teams, the company achieved its CMMI Level 3 in less than 13 months in an externally-led SCAMPI Class A Appraisal (August 2005). SEI estimates that it takes a company an average of 18 -24 months to reach Level 2 and another 18 – 24 months to achieve a Level 3 rating.
