3H Solution Summary
In 1998, 3H implemented a Network Attached Storage (NAS) for the General Services Administration (GSA). The NAS solution provided centralized data storage, and consolidated efficient file access for mission critical files and applications. With data doubling in size, adding more NAS devices would adversely affect the performance of the network and increase the backup window to unacceptable time. In 2000, 3H upgraded GSA NAS to a Storage Area Network (SAN) to take advantage of scalability, fault recovery and general manageability without bogging down the LAN environment. More>>
